SolarBank, a developer and owner of renewable energy projects, has engaged with Polar Racking, a provider of solar module solutions, to acquire the CORE fixed tilt ground mount solar mounting solution and ballasted foundations for the Manlius and Geddes solar projects, boasting a combined capacity of 10 MWdc.

With the aim of repurposing two closed landfills, the two projects are poised to convert the previously contaminated sites into valuable assets while simultaneously generating clean energy. This innovative approach demonstrates a commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

Polar Racking, a veteran in the industry for over 14 years, is widely recognized for its solar mounting solutions and ballasted foundations. These solutions are known for their swift assembly, durability, and ability to adapt to diverse terrains found in solar projects. Notably, Polar Racking’s innovative ballasted foundation product line, specifically designed to securely anchor fixed tilt and tracker solar racking solutions, along with their extensive experience in serving landfill sites, played a crucial role in securing SolarBank’s endorsement and securing the deal.
